This September, Hog Roast Flecknoe catering for a wonderful party hosted for Rob’s 50th birthday. The event had so many fun entertainment options, with the 70 guests able to enjoy a firework display, a laser light show, and plenty of excellent music. As well as the entertainment, Hog Roast Flecknoe was hired to serve a classic hog roast to the guests, alongside a meat-free alternative. Our catering manager Jon was happy to get involved with this event since it sounded like a lot of fun!
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Flecknoe team arrived at The Missing Sock, Cambridge, with plenty of time to prepare for the 19:00 serving time. We began by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection before it was expertly carved by our chef. The sliced pork was served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Gluten-free rolls were also available upon request. Additionally, we served grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers and juicy British beef burgers. For the sides, we served roasted baby potatoes, gourmet coleslaw, and a selection of seasonal salad dishes. Our menu was a great addition to the event and there was more than enough for the 70 guests to enjoy. Once the guests had all enjoyed a delicious meal they were ready to keep partying and enjoying all of the entertainment options that were on offer.
