Their wedding is taking place in a converted barn, which is perfect for their rustic and autumnal-themed reception. The venue will be decorated with a floral theme, along with a roaring fire and plenty of cosy places to sit, as well as a big dancefloor! For the catering, our team has been hired to serve a classic hog roast buffet style to 75 guests. This menu will be a perfect addition to the cosy event since it is the perfect comfort meal for enjoying on a cold evening.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Stourport on Severn team arrived at the venue in the afternoon, giving us plenty of time to prepare for the 8:00pm serving time. We began the preparation by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection before it was carved by our chef. The sliced pork was then served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For the side dishes, the guests enjoyed homemade chips, sweet potato fries, gourmet coleslaw, corn cobettes, and a selection of seasonal salad dishes. Overall, this menu had plenty for the 75 guests to enjoy, and more than enough choice for everyone to create their ideal evening meal. The reception was a wonderful occasion and it was great to be part of such a special event.
