May the 4th, a.k.a. Star Wars Day, is a time when fans of the beloved sci-fi franchise unite to celebrate all things Jedi, Sith, Wookiee, and Ewok. And this year, fans in Warwickshire took their celebrations to new heights at a Star Wars-inspired beer festival, organised by number-one Star Wars fan, Ryan!
Determined to make Star Wars Day 2024 one to remember, Ryan hired a large field from a local rugby club and planned a thrilling day for fans of all ages. To his delight, the event was blessed with the perfect weather, with sunshine gracing the occasion and temperatures reaching a respectable 18 degrees. It was the ideal setting for enthusiasts to come together and revel in their shared love for the Star Wars universe.
Hog Roast Wolverhampton is happy to say Ryan’s efforts paid off handsomely, as the festival attracted a huge turnout of guests, including families, groups of friends, and couples, all eager to immerse themselves in the festivities.
As adults sampled a wide array of craft beers, ales, lagers, gins, ciders, and Star Wars-themed cocktails from vendors, children enjoyed Jedi smoothies and fresh fruit juices. Live music and cosplayers dressed as iconic Star Wars characters added to the festive atmosphere while face-painting artists and performers entertained guests of all ages.
Adding to the galactic gastronomic experience was Hog Roast Wolverhampton, entrusted by Ryan to handle the food aspect of the event. Led by catering manager, Jon, our team proudly served up our Classic Hog Roast Menu to hungry crowds, receiving rave reviews in return.
Guests tucked into the perfectly seasoned meat, tender and savoury with a hint of sweetness, which was beautifully complemented by the flavours of the sage and onion stuffing and applesauce. But, as always, it was the crackling that really stood out – unbelievably crispy and infused with just the right amount of salt, it left guests clamouring for more.
Ryan’s Star Wars festival was a resounding success, catering to fans of all ages and leaving lasting memories for everyone involved. Hog Roast Wolverhampton is honoured to have been part of this unforgettable affair, and our caterers thoroughly enjoyed meeting new people and spreading joy through our delicious food.
