It seems like only yesterday that we were celebrating the warm weather with summery BBQs and garden parties. But now, that glorious sunshine has gone, and in its place, we’ve been left with a moody blanket of mist, bone-chilling temperatures and dreary rain.
It’s not all doom and gloom, though. With Halloween fast approaching, there’s still plenty of good times to look forward to this autumn, and our Hog Roast Keniworth team have been kept busy with plenty of bookings for all sorts of spooky events that are set to start taking place over the next few weeks.
We even recently had a request come in from a PTA member, Jessica, who had been placed in charge of handling the food for this year’s Halloween disco at her daughter’s school. After taking a poll on the kinds of foods that the kids would like to see at the event, Jessica had approached us with the aim of securing a spectacular hog roast buffet, and we couldn’t have been happier to help.
Our Hog Roast Keniworth catering manager, Russ, asked Jessica lots of questions, after which he was able to make several suggestions that suited the client’s specific needs and budget. From the options offered, Jessica selected our Classic Hog Roast menu, which offers a traditional spread of spit-roasted pork with freshly made applesauce, homemade sage and onion stuffing and crispy and salty crackling, served on either a gluten-free or wholemeal roll with gourmet coleslaw, herb dressed potatoes and a pair of colourful salad options.
The menu will also include succulent chicken kebabs, gourmet sausages and handmade British 100% beef burgers, to ensure there’s something on the menu that’s to everyone’s taste. And for those non-meat-eating students, Hog Roast Keniworth will serve our flavour-packed pulled jackfruit option, smothered in a delicious hickory BBQ sauce and dressed with vegan ‘slaw.
It’s not long now until the long-awaited celebration goes ahead, and the Hog Roast Keniworth catering crew is really looking forward to treating the kids to our signature spread that we’re positive will be the talk of the school for a long while to come!
