1st April 2015, hog roast Harborne had been booked for an event for 50 people. Our client had requested our very popular menu 3, which consists of a slowly roasted pig, salads, homemade coleslaw and for the vegetarians our very own Spanish quiche, all served with floured bread rolls and a selection of sauces. Of course all this isn’t done in the click of a finger so we got up early Wednesday morning, collected all our ingredients and set off to the venue giving us enough time to cook the pig and prepare all our salads. Once we arrived we were greeted by the host of the event who quickly showed us to our kitchen area were we would be spending the next several hours getting our menu 3 prepared. With a serve time of 7.30pm, we started cooking the pig at around 1:30pm, this ensures we have around 6 hours for the pig to cook and will be ready in time for our guests. During the course of the evening, many people came up to the kitchen and asked how much our machines are to buy or what type of events we cater for, and of course we cater for any event no matter how big or small. Once hog roast Harborne got to know a little about the guests, it was time to serve the pig, so we lifted our hog out of the machine and placed him on top of our carving tray, straight away we got a brilliant response with everybody’s heads turning and being really eager and just wanting dive straight in! We set out our rolls and started carving the pig, they was more than enough to go round twice with they’re still being some left over! We had some brilliant feedback from the guests with one person even coming forward on the night and booking us for his own event.
