Hog Roast Hill Wootton wished OFF Grid Energy a very merry Christmas last Friday with a scrumptious festive feast fit for a king. The rugby-based energy company indulged in Hog Roast Hill Wootton’s Christmas menu that consisted of a delicious hog roast and turkeys, pig in blankets, cauliflower cheese, seasonal vegetables, and roast potatoes served with silky gravy, sauces and bread rolls and wraps. A feast that doesn’t just warm you up during this time of year but also warms your heart!
The slow-roasted pig was cooked to perfection with moist meat and crunchy crackling. The tasty turkey was wholesome and accompanied with the Christmas favourite: pigs in blankets! All meats from Hog Roast Hill Wootton are sourced from a local butcher who made the pigs in blankets with small herbed pork sausages and wrapped them in the best unsmoked back bacon. The meats were complimented by cauliflower cheese that was made with fresh cauliflower with a homemade cheese sauce and grated cheddar cheese to make it stringy and completely indulgent! There was a medley of seasonal vegetables and roasted potatoes that were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside.
Midday arrived, and the workers quickly made their way over to the delicious food. Thankfully, Hog Roast Hill Wootton was able to set up in the corner of their warehouse so catering manager Russ and his team were nice and toasty despite it being a cold December day!
Once they had relished the main course, the workers came back up for warmed mince pies served with a blanket of fine brandy cream.
OFF Grid Energy gave their thanks to catering manager Russ for putting on such a divine spread and for the wonderful service they had received wishing him a good Christmas and all the best for 2021.
