With wedding season on the horizon now is the time where another season starts to spark to life. Before any weddings can take place there of course has to be the customary hen and stag dos, and as a wedding caterer we sometimes end up joining for these events too since our customers have already come to us for their wedding and so know that we can likely cater their final parties too.
This was the case just the other week when Hog Roast Hurley was roped into a hen party with a customer that we have only recently met. We have been attending plenty of wedding fairs of late and it was here at one of these fairs that Hog Roast Hurley met Amanda, and actually booked in her wedding catering with her that day. When contacting her again later Amanda actually asked if we could perhaps do her one other favour in catering her upcoming Hen party too. It was a slightly last-minute booking, but we were fortunate enough to have a gap in our calendar just when Amanda wanted us, and so we were more than happy to say yes! That takes us to this past week where the Hog Roast Hurley were there to serve a “ladies who lunch” dining service per Amanda’s request before the party of hens would move on to a night of more “risqué” entertainment.
As part of our service we served our Alfresco menu, a lighter menu of ours but one that is equally as delicious. Dining began with our Antipasti platter of fine Italian meats and cheeses served with fresh artisanal breads and oils. Our hog roast main followed served along with our tomato and mozzarella salad, homemade gourmet coleslaw, and buttered new potatoes tossed in chives. It wouldn’t be a ladies who lunch meal without the sweet bites though of course, and so for dessert we had profiteroles and our handmade individual cheesecakes available, both served with cream. Don’t worry, plenty of bubbly was served too!
It was a delightful lunch and we have no doubt that the ladies enjoyed the rest of their hen weekend thoroughly. We’ll see a lot of you again come Amanda’s wedding too so you can fill us in then on the juicy details!
