Corporate Hog Roast For Prior Scientific Instruments Ltd’s Company Conference

Hog Roast Weedon Bec’s sterling chef Russ, got the chance to show off not only his cooking skills, but also his knowledge about the science behind hog roasting this week, when we were asked by Prior Scientific Instruments Ltd, to do the catering for their company conference!

Russ and his trusty sidekicks Rhys and Jamie arrived bright and early at the company’s site on Fielding Industrial Estate, which isn’t our usual stomping ground, but the rise in popularity of our corporate menus has seen us venturing into a lot of undiscovered territory lately! Emilia, the event organiser, was there to greet the trio and was a little bit taken aback that we hadn’t sent more staff to cater for the 80 employees. The boys assured her that one experienced chef and two master multi-taskers like Rhys and Jamie were more than capable of preparing and serving a delicious meal for their 80 employees at 1.15pm sharp, as agreed! Reassured, Emilia showed us where to set up and left us to it.

Whilst the company conference was underway, Russ was keeping a watchful eye on our ethically-reared pork as it roasted slowly throughout the morning. Meanwhile his assistants were Warwickshire - servingbusy preparing the side salads and buttery new potatoes, as well as the vegetable skewers for the employees who didn’t eat meat. Regular as clockwork, they were ready to serve right on cue, as the hungry employees advanced towards our serving table. Russ was happy to be grilled about the inner workings of our hog roast machine by the scientifically-minded bunch as he carved the meat, and to show off his knife skills in the process! Here at Hog Roast Weedon Bec, we love having the chance to chat to our diners about any aspect of our catering service, from our equipment, to how we source our pork and it’s always great when people take an interest in something that we’re obviously so passionate about!

With all technical questions answered and every employee, carnivores and vegetarians alike, all incredibly happy and well-fed, it was time for them to bid a reluctant farewell to our serving table and get back to the grindstone! Whilst they were clearing up, Emilia came over to thank the gang for the fabulous meal and service Hog Roast Weedon Bec had provided, and she will definitely be recommending us to any company who needs high quality corporate catering in future!
