A Christmas party in November always seems strange, but with December arriving this week Christmas must only be weeks away. Hog Roast Fillongley served their formal dining experience for Shelley and her wonderful team Monday night. Shelley appreciated that the experience could come to her rather than having the faff of getting everyone together at a different location.
As Shelley and her staff finished for day Monday, they were greeted with Hog Roast Fillongley’s delicious bitesize canapés. They dove into gourmet butcher sausages smothered in a finger-licking honey and mustard sauce, a mini-Yorkshire pudding filled with a swirl of medium fillet of beef and a dash of horseradish, variety of popular Indian nibbles such as flavourful vegetable samosas, smoked salmon on soft bread with a taste of cream cheese and chives and nourish mini pizzas.
The staff then went into the marquee and were served a delicious starter of Roasted Duck salad with a sweet and sticky orange and pomegranate dressing. Once the starters had been served, Hog Roast Fillongley’s team asked them to come up for the main course. Shelley had opted for the whole roasted pig, a theatrical spectacle as well as completely tasty and divine as well as chickens. Shelley claimed she would play it safe with chickens as in her words “who doesn’t like a bit of chicken?”. She chose these meats over the traditional Turkey as she was not a fan of Turkey apparently! The mighty meats were served along garlic and rosemary infused roasted baby new potatoes, three light and flavourful salads, creamy coleslaw being one of them, sage and onion stuffing as well as crowd favourites, Pig in blankets.
For pudding, Shelley had selected the divine and indulgent chocolate torte and Christmassy Yule log, both served with cream and fresh red berries. As everyone enjoyed the dessert, Hog Roast Fillongley served tea and coffee to the table.
Everyone really enjoyed the treat and Hog Roast Fillongley enjoyed being part of their company’s Christmas celebrations.
