When it comes to choosing a menu for your wedding, we know that you want to feel confident in your final decision, and perhaps, more importantly, the people in charge of serving it – after all, it is the biggest day of your life. While many a wedding reception has been dampened by cowboy catering, you can rest assured that by involving Hog Roast Dorridge in your special day, you’ll never have to worry about a single thing. If there’s one thing our team love, it’s making our clients happy, and they always bend over backwards to make that happen.
Like many brides-to-be, Angela had been dreaming about her wedding day for as long as she could remember, and now that the real thing was in sight she was eager to find the perfect menu to match the occasion. With the reception set to take place in a castle fit for a princess, surrounded by rolling landscapes which would provide the perfect backdrop for stunning photos of the wedding party, Angela was keen for Hog Roast Dorridge to serve a more traditional sit-down meal to the 250 people who were set to attend the ceremony.
After talking the client through her options, it was agreed that our wedding menu 4 would be best suited to her event and on this occasion, Angela asked that we drop the pig from the menu. Instead, she wanted us to serve salad nicoise to start, followed by spit roasted spring lamb and free-range chicken with chipolata sausage as the main with side options of colourful salads, creamy coleslaw and warm new potatoes in herb butter.
With lots to do before the wedding party arrived, Hog Roast Dorridge arrived bright and early on the day of the wedding to prepare the feast and set the dining tables with crisp white tablecloths and floral centrepieces. As the meal neared completion, the guests began to arrive and they were ecstatic to be greeted with platters of delicious canapes which helped build their appetite ahead of the main meal.
Just as Angela had hoped, the food went down a storm with the guests and ending the evening on a high, the catering crew served up a tea and coffee buffet service with chocolate torte and fresh fruit salad.
