Just recently, we were asked to cater in Maidstone in Kent, to cater a corporate event for Kent Fire and Rescue Service Sports Club at The Godlands, Straw Mill Hill. The Godlands is the Kent Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters and was acquired by the National Fire Service in 1941. It’s a gorgeous building with lovely gardens. Alison booked us in for the event and we looked forward to a hopefully sunny afternoon, providing lots of our tasty food for 200 guests.

When it comes to choosing the food for your social occasion, we have all kinds of options for all kinds of different tastes and several menus to check out. For this Kent Fire and Rescue Service Sports Club event, we were asked to cook our Menu 4 with an outdoor buffet, including their choice of a hog roast, or a spit roast of lamb, turkey, chicken or beef (or you can even choose beefburgers and sausages or Thai chicken kebabs and marinated spare ribs), served with fresh bread rolls and a selection of sauces. Alison asked us to cook a hog roast, which is, of course, a very popular choice for us to serve, and we were also asked to provide additional sausages.

When our Hog Roast Whichford team arrived at the delightful venue, the weather had stayed beautiful and the gardens looked absolutely stunning. There were gazebos with serving tables and smart tables and chairs on the lawn for the guests, ready and waiting for us to prepare, cook and then serve plate after plate of scrumptious food to the guests.
