21st Birthday – Hog Roast Loxley

We were west catering for a 21st birthday last week with a hog roast Loxley the event was held in a lovely old castle with lots of it original features still intact. We arrived mid morning and we were catering for 600 guests so we had lots to do. We began by unloading the two hog roasting machines we brought with us two of our larger models for the event. On one we placed the pig and on the underside of the machine we placed rows of potatoes. On the other we placed chickens and lamb. As the meats cooked it was time to set up our prep table and then we began to make the assortment of sides, we made lots of salads and a variety of dips to accompany the meats including a mint sauce, mustard and honey dip and a nice apple sauce. We covered the tables, which were already set with lots of fresh buns and wraps, and before we knew it the guests had arrived and we were ready to serve the hog roast Loxley.

The tables looked amazing and the smell was unbelievable everyone entering the room commented and made there way straight over to the hog roast Loxley and were all amazed at the sight of the pig spinning away on the machine. As our chef set to work carving the meats we had a crowd watching us and all were commenting on how good the meat carved and we told guests that all our meats are so moist and succulent then it was time for them to see for themselves. We plated the moist tender meat on plates filled with salads and dips and the guests were in heaven! The young lad who’s birthday it was, was very impressed he said he had never tasted food like ours before and said he never expected the standard to be so high, we told him we always set our standards high and never cut corners and that we feel has been the reason we are still going strong. We had a lovely time and when it was time to pack up the tables were bare we never tire of seeing that.
