It’s always a great event for Hog Roast Baginton when the sun is shining, it automatically lifts everyone’s moods and creates a fantastic atmosphere, especially if the drinks are rolling as well!
Hog Roast Baginton’s catering manager Russ had the pleasure of sorting the food out for the lovely Martina. Martina alongside her friends and family were celebrating her little girls first communion. Martina’s daughter wore the most gorgeous dress and looked beautiful.
The event was held at Martina’s home, Manor farm. A charismatic and rustic venue with plenty of space to hold all kind of events. A marquee had been popped up and a band had been invited to play for the afternoon.
The menu choice was Hog Roast Baginton’s classic slowly roasted whole hog with all the trimmings. A selection of rolls and wraps were available and a selection of sauces. It seems these guests were very much traditional apple sauce lovers!
In addition to the delicious pulled pork, Martina had requested chicken and vegetable skewers and for the vegetarian guests, halloumi, and vegetable skewers. Both options go great with a drizzle of sweet chilli sauce and popped in a wrap.
The 2pm serve went quickly with many coming up for seconds and Martina claiming that it was the best hog roast she had ever tasted. She explained to Russ about her vision of turning the farm into a wedding venue, her plans on how she would go about achieving it and whether Russ would be interested in being part of her catering plan. Fingers crossed this becomes a future partner venue for Hog Roast Baginton!
Once everyone had enjoyed their lunch, Russ made up hog roast rolls so that they could continue to munch throughout the evening. He wishes Martina all the best with the wedding venue plans and hopes that he can help her out with the catering in the future.
