Last Saturday Hog Roast Finham’s catering manager Russ and his assistant Beth put on the most magnificent tasting session for the lovely bride and groom to be Beth and Liam.
It was a warm and sunny afternoon, Beth and Liam’s venue choice was lush with the most beautiful country backdrop of endless greenery. Despite having two marquees for the actual event at the end of July, they have hired out a safari-inspired wooden hut that has a gorgeous balcony at the top to make it an even more magical place.
Beth and Liam first showed Russ and Beth around the area, discussing where they were thinking of putting the catering area on the day, the best access and where the team could receive power and water. Having an insight of the venue makes it that much easier for Hog Roast Finham on the day so that they can arrive and set up without having to contact busy brides or grooms to be.
While Beth and Liam wondered around the venue discussing wedding details, Russ and Beth set up the tasting session. A table was laid with a crisp tablecloth, a dinning plate, side plate, cutlery, a napkin, water glass and a Prosecco glass each. To make it that much more of a grand experience for the happy couple, Russ had gone out of his way to go above and beyond with a bottle of Prosecco served with the food, and a galaxy chocolate bar for the couple to enjoy later.
Russ oversaw the BBQ cooking off the delicious meats on offer for their menu. Beth and Liam enjoyed minted lamb, Cajun spiced chicken, Texan BBQ beef , BBQ spareribs and bourbon BBQ pulled pork. Each as tender and scrumptious as the other! Hog Roast Finham’s menu makes it hard for people to decide out of all the fantastic choices, it certainly caused debates between Beth and Liam after they had an idea of what they were going for beforehand.
The government’s go ahead for outdoor dining meant that Liam and Beth enjoyed their very own private and personal chef for a few hours as they delved into indulgent Mac and cheese, herb-buttered new potatoes, halloumi skewers have freshly prepared salads. The Greek salad went down particularly well, similarly the antipasti boards were adored by the couple who are excited about having the experience all over again on their wedding day, especially being big cheese fans!
Russ and his team at Hog Roast Finham wish Beth and Liam the best as final preparations come together and look forward to seeing them again soon.
