Hog Roast Whichford was recently asked to cater a wedding at Manor Farm Barn, in Marsh Gibbon near Bicester. Hog Roast Whichford is based in Warwickshire but we often cater outside of the county, either if a customer asks us to or if another franchise does.
Manor Farm Barn is a 16th-century barn and a rural wedding venue that is surrounded by lovely countryside. The Manor Farm is exclusively yours for the whole day and the venue also offers a bespoke wedding service for you to tailor your wedding day just as you want it. We also allow our customers to do so with regarding the wedding food, so although we have several menus for you to peruse, we encourage you to mix and match items between menus or even to create your own. This is one special day in your life when it should be all your own choice, but where you can also ensure that all of your guests are catered for too, in case some have specific dietary requirements or if you want to offer multiple dishes to please varying tastes.
For this wedding reception, we were asked to provide our Weddings Menu Option 4 for 85 people. This menu is aimed at more traditional and formal wedding catering, where we can supply a drinks reception, canapés, a plated starter, the main course, a plated dessert, and even tea and coffee. We were asked for bespoke antipasti platters with meats, bread, grapes and olives, a cheese board, and desserts, as well as a buffet-style main course for this wedding.
The venue was decorated beautifully and when we arrived, our chef Ben and his team worked hard to create some stunning food to match. We satisfied many guests on the day and the food went down extremely well, with plenty of comments about the amazing taste of our food as well as the gorgeous presentation.
