Hog Roast Whitnash had the privilege of catering for a nearby street party earlier this month, which had been organised in celebration of none other than King Charles’s coronation!
This fantastic event was made possible by the joint efforts of the entire street. They sourced patriotic props and decorations and contributed towards the cost of our services, demonstrating a strong sense of community spirit.
When Hog Roast Whitnash arrived to set up for the celebration, the cul de sac was already bursting with excitement. The majority of the residents were outside, putting up Union Jack bunting, arranging tables and chairs, and chatting away enthusiastically about the day’s upcoming events. They were eagerly looking forward to a day filled with fun and festivities.
Following a friendly introduction, our team quickly located an ideal spot to erect our catering gazebo and proceeded with preparing a classic hog roast, complete with sides and garnishes. A little while later, our catering manager skillfully carved the full-size pig, separating the succulent and tender pulled pork from the savoury and crispy crackling exterior, as the guests watched in awe.
As the celebrations kicked off, Hog Roast Whitnash made sure that everyone received one of our delicious hog roast rolls, accompanied by roasted new potatoes, fresh salads, mixed fries, and homemade sauces. The guests were over the moon with the quality and rich flavours of the tantalisingly tasty feast and praised our chefs for their exceptional cooking abilities.
The coronation celebrations continued well into the late afternoon, and the residents loved every moment of it. They danced, sang, enjoyed party games and made the most of the abundance of food on offer! As well as the bountiful Hog Roast Whitnash spread, which included a grazing table of savoury snacks and a tea and coffee service, the residents had clubbed together to buy sweets, cupcakes and quintessentially British biscuits for the occasion.
Our team are incredibly proud to have played a strong part in making the King’s coronation a special occasion for our fellow Whitnash residents, and we know this historical day will be remembered by the clients and Hog Roast Whitnash for many years to come.
