In honour of Deborah’s 60th birthday, her three children had banded together to organise a huge surprise party as a way of showing her how much they care and thanking her for all that she does for them and has done for them over the years!
To ensure the event was memorable for all the right reasons, the trio had booked a luxurious hotel as the venue for the occasion before sending out invites to everyone in the family, as well as all of Deborah’s closest friends, who were thrilled to be included in the surprise.
With Deborah none the wiser, her children continued to plan for the day, which involved sourcing plenty of balloons and banners, a custom cake and experienced caterers to serve a scrumptious meal. The eldest daughter, Mollie, had been the one to take responsibility for the latter and after trawling the internet for trustworthy servers, she discovered Hog Roast Southam.
Immediately, she was reeled in by our truly expansive catering portfolio, which, in addition to our namesake hog roasts, offers a variety of free-range meat options, vegetarian/vegan alternatives, gluten-free dishes and a massive selection of side options. Mollie was also impressed by our offer of canapés
, drinks services and antipasti platters, which she was keen to incorporate into her event.
Taking on board Mollie’s requirements, our catering manager, Russ suggested our Alfresco Menu, which has become one of Hog Roast Southam’s most popular spreads. Mollie fell in love with this menu, so on the day of the party, our team rustled up one of our classic hog roasts, a meat-free option, roasted new potatoes, gourmet coleslaw and two delicious side salads, offering plenty of variety for the guests to choose from.
In addition to the main meal, the buffet also included Italian antipasti platters, which overflowed with rich-tasting cheeses, artisan bread, cold-cut meats, olives and sundried tomatoes. The guests loved picking away at these boards, which Hog Roast Southam followed up with a choice of cheesecake or tarte au citron for dessert and a slice of birthday cake.
Oh, and If you were wondering how the birthday girl took the surprise, she loved it! Deborah was so grateful for her children and was delighted by Hog Roast Southam’s incredible menu!
