Unless you’re new around here, you’ll know that Hog Roast Leek Wootton has been talking about all things Halloween-related practically non-stop since the beginning of September. And now, here we are, fast approaching the spookiest day of the year! We told you the time would fly by, didn’t we?
Season of the witch, All Saints’ Eve, spooky season, Samhain; whatever you want to call it, Halloween is the perfect time to embrace all things strange, creepy and downright terrifying! And with zero Covid restrictions to hold us back from making the most of the holiday this year, Hog Roast Leek Wootton is gearing up for what are destined to be some truly unforgettable events over the course of the coming weeks.
But the truth is, for us, the celebrations have already begun! All month long, our faithful team of caterers have travelled the region with a focus on providing our customers and clients with an epic food service. And among our recent bookings was an event hosted by one of our long-time clients, Jane!
Jane had put together a Halloween-inspired dance event at one of the nearby clubs, which invited ticket holders to come along and boogie down to a mix of old-school Halloween dance anthems. Our catering manager, Jon, was excited to be part of this exhilarating evening, during which he kept the guests from going hungry with a buffet of lip-smacking treats from our Southern Slow Roast Menu.
The bountiful spread featured Hog Roast Leek Wootton’s famous Cajun-spiced whole roasted free-range chicken, Texan 24-hour beef brisket, BBQ pork butt and BBQ pulled jackfruit rolls with a selection of smokey glazes, Memphis style crunchy coleslaw, fresh and tasty salad options and crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside sweet potato fries. This impressive feast was completed with a grazing table of jelly sweets and chocolate treats, which kept the guests feeling energised and ready to rave!
Once again, Jon did a marvellous job, and Jane couldn’t thank him and the team enough for all of their help on the day. The guests had a wonderful time too and couldn’t stop talking about how delicious the food was!
