Hog Roast Kenilworth’s latest event was an exciting poetry competition award ceremony, the hosts wanted a lovely buffet for the winners, runners up and their guests to enjoy at the informal prize giving ceremony. So that’s exactly what the team delivered.
The brief for the event was quite simple, the client’s wanted a tasty but fairly simple buffet for their guests to tuck into. The 20 lucky guests would be able to enjoy a delicious buffet immediately after the competition winners had been awarded their prizes.
They worked closely with the Hog Roast Kenilworth’s booking team to come up with a menu that met their requirements exactly. The menu for the buffet was: a Classic Hog Roast, served with crispy crackling, homemade stuffing and apple sauce. Alongside this Hog Roast Kenilworth favourite dish there was also grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, as well as a lot of tasty sweet potato fries. Finishing off the delicious buffet was a large selection of soft gluten free rolls for everyone to enjoy.
As the event was taking place outdoors there was plenty of space for the Catering Manager to set up the cooking equipment, gazebo and serving table. The Chef arrived at the beautiful park venue several hours prior to the 3pm serving time, this allowed enough time for every single dish to be made by hand in time for the serving time.
As part of the catering package that the clients had selected to go for, the Hog Roast Kenilworth team provided high quality wooden bamboo crockery and cutlery for the guests to use, as well as disposable napkins. Also a part of the catering package the clients concocted with the team, was the disposal of all waste from the buffet. All the rubbish from the catering of the event would be taken away from the location by the Catering Manager at the end of the event and responsibly disposed of by the team.
The poetry competition was an exciting event for the team to be involved in, they were thrilled at the positive reaction from the clients and guests. It had been a job well done.
