When Laura and Thomas first reached out to us, they were riding high on the wave of their recent engagement and couldn’t wait to throw a party to celebrate their impending nuptials! They chose to host their engagement party in the very pub where they had their first date four years ago and having heard rave reviews about Hog Roast Birmingham, they knew they wanted us to lay on a delicious spread for their guests. Naturally, we were thrilled to help! Our catering manager, Jon, teamed up with Laura and Thomas to curate the perfect menu based on their budget, style, and taste preferences. They envisioned a relaxed, laid-back vibe for their celebration and invited 50 guests to join them.
With that in mind, Jon suggested our Southern Slow Roast Menu, a crowd-pleaser bursting with flavours and overflowing with Southern charm – just what the couple was after! Having Hog Roast Birmingham take care of the catering lifted a huge weight off Laura and Thomas’s shoulders. On Friday, we showed why we’re among Warwickshire’s top-rated catering services by presenting the Southern-style feast at their engagement party. BBQ pork butt, Louisiana sticky pork ribs, and Cajun-spiced chickens were grilled to perfection after being marinated in our secret recipe rubs, ensuring each bite was packed with flavour. For those craving an extra kick, our smoky sweet BBQ glaze, legendary hickory bourbon sauce, and super spicy Cajun hot pepper sauce turned up the heat.
We also made sure our non-meat-eating friends were covered with BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls topped with crunchy coleslaw, and a trio of all-American sides, including creamy mac and cheese, tangy potato salad, and crispy mixed fries. The event was everything Laura and Thomas wanted: relaxed, fun, and full of incredible food. Guests were in high spirits as they celebrated the couple’s upcoming marriage, mingling and munching on the delicious spread.
The pub, where their love story began, added a nostalgic touch to the festivities. It was heartwarming to see Laura and Thomas surrounded by their closest friends and family, enjoying great food, laughter, and love.
