Hog Roast Bedworth has spent years making tasty homemade food for all kinds of special occasions, including birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, weddings and much more. No matter what you’re organising, one of our amazing hog roasts is always suitable, but if you prefer something else to be served, we have plenty of other choices that you might be surprised about. We can cook you a spit-roasted bird or animal instead or a barbecue with ribs, gourmet sausages, and burgers that are 100% beef. Our Southern Slow Roast Menu gives you three meats and four sides as well as a veggie option, and we also have lots of other dishes for guests with dietary requirements if needed too. Plus our hog roast machines are so versatile that they can even cook you pizza if you prefer!
For a corporate hospitality event that we catered recently, PA Jenny asked us to cook a centrepiece hog roast for around 45 guests, as well as prepare some salad dishes and a vegan option. Once freshly prepared, the hog itself would sizzle away for several hours in order to make pigs in buns for most of the guests, with meat and crackling in floury bread rolls and wraps, topped with our own recipe apple sauce and sage and onion stuffing. The vegan option would be our veggie skewers, which we usually make with halloumi and fresh vegetables, but for vegans, we leave out the cheese.
The day of the party came round recently and our Hog Roast Bedworth chef and team members met up with Jenny at the business premises first thing in the morning. We set up our gazebo, serving tables and hog roast machine in one of the warehouses, and got busy preparing the meat by scoring it and adding water and salt. Our trusty hog roast machine then did all the hard work, slowly but surely roasting the hog for hours until lunchtime.
Jenny had asked Hog Roast Bedworth for chef’s choice of salads and on this day, we freshly prepared a Greek salad, a tomato and mozzarella one and our crunchy coleslaw. By the time the hog was carved up, the vegan skewers and salads were ready and the guests piled into the warehouse, to queue up for a slice of heaven.
