Late last year, in the wintery season of December, the snow was falling heavy and Hog Roast Austrey we were extremely busy with several catering events. We had a large Christmas festival coming up close to the end of the month and new we needed to prepare. The hundreds of guests at the festival were expecting us and we had to make it through any weather. Yvonne, the event organiser, contacted us when she needed a fantastic, reliable company to feed the hungry bellies of Austrey. We were happy to attend the festival. Not only was it great for our business, we could allow hundreds of people to try our delicious, extensive menus.
On the day of the event, the hail and snow was falling heavily on the ground however our team set off an hour early to ensure we got there on time. When we arrived, we set up our work station and our very own professional chef began to salt rub the large masses of meat, this salt rub makes our most famous crispy crackling. We brought hog, chicken and lamb, accompanied with veggie skewers, floured bread rolls, an array of salads and our herb potatoes. The guests were delighted as they flooded around our station when the steam began rising from the hog roasting master machine. Compliments such as ‘what a gorgeous selection of meat’ we’re flying around the snowy field. Along with the views and happy people of Austrey, the weather really made the day special.
As the successful event came to a close, we tidied up our stations and ensured everything was clean. We always offer this service at events to relieve stress from the customers.
