Hog Roast Gaydon is well-known in these parts and beyond for being passionate about providing high-quality catering for all kinds of special occasions, and not just for private parties. We cater lots of corporate events, too, from small business meetings to huge conferences, and offer plenty of menus to suit every budget. Whether you need several courses or one main of our sumptuous pigs in buns, our friendly, fully-trained staff will go the extra mile to ensure your party not only has great food, but great service too.
Our team at Hog Roast Gaydon recently catered a corporate event for Jaguar Land Rover in Gaydon itself. Jaguar Land Rover is the largest car manufacturer in the UK and the Gaydon branch is one of its principal engineering centres, as well as the location of the British Motor Museum. For this event, James asked us to provide hog roast rolls for 300 guests at lunchtime, which meant we’d be slowly roasting hogs on-site from the morning onwards. To make pigs in buns, once the meat has rested a little while after cooking, we carve off the crackling, slice up the meat and then add bits of both into soft, floury bread rolls (or wraps, if preferred), spoon on some of our own apple sauce and our own sage and onion stuffing and leave our customers to add their choice of condiment and voila – hog roast rolls done Hog Roast Gaydon-style.
Our chef Russ and the rest of the team arrived in good time to prepare the meat from scratch. It takes a few, long hours to cook each pig – you can never rush this kind of cooking. Once prepared with water and salt and scored all over, we continually check on its progress over the course of the day. We use our own, top quality, stainless steel, gas-powered hog roast machines when catering, and they do all the hard work on behalf of us, making sure the meat ends up being tender on the inside and crispy on the outside by the time of service. On this day, by 12pm, the long queues started and we cracked on with serving lots of tasty food to lots of hungry guests.
