Recently, Hog Roast Rugby team were hired by Laura for her event. She was hosting her daughter’s first birthday party. The venue was their own home in Warwickshire and the event was themed as a garden party. The host was invited quite a number of guests for an intimate event and so it was important that the Hog Roast team delivered a professional but friendly service.
The client selected a buffet service and chose Menu One from the selection of food offered for private parties by the Hog Roast Rugby team. The menu consisted of a slow roasted hog which was served traditionally as a whole hog adorned with crispy crackling. The roasted hog was carved by the Hog Roast Rugby team’s head chefs and presented on the buffet table. The meat was served alongside a selection of sides which were made using locally sourced ingredients and made on site to ensure that they taste fantastically fresh. On the buffet, the Hog Roast team served homemade stuffing, apple sauce and a selection of lightly floured bread rolls and wraps. In addition, the Hog Roast team provided some flexibility to their buffet by creating a vegetarian option of lightly grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers served with pitta breads and a tzatziki dip.
The buffet was served to 60 people and it was important that all of the guests really enjoyed the food. The Hog Roast Rugby team’s head chefs, Lee and Callum, worked hard to ensure they delivered a perfect and smooth service. In addition, as the event had a casual atmosphere due to the intimate nature of the event, the Hog Roast team’s staff were really chatty and friendly to all of the guests which helped to create a fantastic atmosphere. The buffet was served at 4pm, after the food had been cooked onsite using the team’s equipment, and so as a dinner time menu, it was important that there was more than enough food for everyone so that the guests did not go hungry. The client received some fantastic weather for the event and it helped to make a great party.
