Call us eager, but at Hog Roast Hurley we are already anticipating the rush of our busiest season, summer! Even though we are only just about to welcome spring, our summer calendar gets booked up quicker than you can say ‘hog roast’. With summer being the most popular season for weddings, end-of-school celebrations, graduations and proms, it is safe to say that we have a lot on our plate!
Last summer we were thriving with such a huge variety of events. Of particular note was one of the graduation parties the Hog Roast Hurley team catered for. The party was thrown in a field on the university’s campus, which was packed with dressed-up marquees for the new graduates to eat under. With the gowns and hats returned to the shop, graduates revealed their best dresses and suits worn to commemorate their huge achievements. And after waiting so long to receive their degree certificates, a sit-down meal was just what they needed. The graduates were treated to the hog roast dining menu, which is the best way to experience alfresco dining if you are going for a more formal feel for your event.
On the day, the Hog Roast Hurley team arrived at 9 am, eight hours before the chosen serving time, to freshly cook and prepare the desired menu. The main course, served as a buffet, saw the choice between whole-roasted free-range chickens and cuttings from a whole-roasted free-range pig. Both were served with homemade sage and onion stuffing and seasoned to taste. We also provided our homemade vegetarian and vegan options, which was a choice between our skewers, stacked with grilled vegetables and halloumi and BBQ-pulled jackfruit in a bun. The main dishes were complemented by a selection of freshly prepared salads and buttered new potatoes, tossed in chives. The vegetable and halloumi skewers were a favourite, even for the meat eaters!
At Hog Roast Hurley we are so looking forward to what summer has in store for us. We are already taking bookings! Get in touch with us today to book Hog Roast Hurley to cater for your summer events, whatever they may be.
