Hog Roast Hurley – Spectacular 60th Birthday Party

Hog Roast Hurley Last weekend, our enthusiastic team travelled to the picturesque market town of Tamworth, where they had the pleasure of serving up one of our delicious slow roasted pigs at Marion’s 60th birthday party. With 60 people on the guest list, the birthday girl had been desperate to find a reliable catering service to remove the stresses of cooking and serving from her shoulders – and after stumbling upon the Hog Roast Hurley website, she was ecstatic to discover that meat isn’t the only thing we have on our menus…

With a handful of vegetarians expected to attend the highly-anticipated birthday bash, Marion had expressed her need for some meat-free alternatives, and with some guidance from our customer service team, she decided to include our veggie sausages with gluten-free rolls, chips and sauces. Everyone else on the guest list, including herself, was to be treated to one of our drool-inducing hog roast buffets with all the trimmings.

On the day of Marion’s birthday party, Hog Roast Hurley arrived at Halford Street’s Progressive Club a few hours early to set up the cooking equipment and ready the tables for the guests. Working against the clock, they prepared the pig by rubbing it down with salt and evenly scoring the skin, which is our secret to creating the perfect crackling.

The party of 60 began to arrive just as the Hog Roast Hurley team finished cooking, and as the focus of the celebration, Marion was given the first serving of the succulent meat. From the first bite, she was hooked and after hearing her praises the guests couldn’t wait to fill their plates!
