For the party animals who are always on the lookout for the newest and most exciting ways to celebrate a special occasion – whether it be a birthday party or a wedding reception – the restored 18th century Bonded Warehouse in Stourbridge is a venue unlike any other. With its idyllic location along the canal and spacious interior (not to mention its rich history) it is the perfect spot for large get-togethers and with big plans in mind for her 40th birthday, Sandie knew right away it was the place to be for her special day. Of course, no celebration is complete without a show-stopping feast and staying true to the rustic location, she called Hog Roast Stourbridge to see what we could offer for her big day.
Keeping Sandie’s budget in mind, catering manager Russ was quick to recommend our classic hog roast menu which offers more than enough food for the 125 guests she had planned to invite to the celebration and as with all of our menus, it also included a couple of meat-free alternatives and gluten-free rolls for those following plant-based diets which like many of our clients, she was so relieved to hear! After falling in love with the menu, the client was happy to leave the arrangements in the capable hands of the Hog Roast Stourbridge team while she updated her guests on the good news.
With everyone buzzing with excitement in anticipation of the hog roast buffet, our team certainly had to bring their A-game, but thanks to our resident chef Ben who can turn his hat to anything, that wasn’t a problem. By the time the guests began turning up for the party at 8 pm, the Hog Roast Stourbridge crew had almost finished bringing our classic menu to life and with scents of the slow roasted pig, savoury stuffing, crispy crackling and grilled vegetable skewers filling the function hall – the guests were going wild!
Finally, the build-up was over and after declaring the buffet open for business, the guests piled their plates high with succulent cuts of meat and delicious handmade sauces which had them returning for more.
