Exposed beams, high eaves and breathtaking views of rolling fields have become increasingly popular among loved-up couples looking to tie the knot and for many, having a traditional hog roast buffet to complete their vision of a dreamy rustic wedding is the icing on the cake. With these autumnal nuptials all the rage right now, the Hog Roast Alcester team have been busy helping brides and grooms celebrate their love with our bespoke menu options which are created using only the highest quality ingredients that have been individually sourced from award-winning farms in the local area.
Most recently, the team found themselves travelling further afield than normal to help Mr and Mrs Wiseman-to-be exchange vows at the stunning Oxleaze Barn in Gloucestershire. As their special day neared and the pair still hadn’t managed to secure a catering service for the event, they had gotten in touch with our customer service team to make arrangements and after skimming over our expansive list of menus, they were relieved to discover that the perfect feast for their 80 guests wasn’t going to break the bank.
When the special day arrived, catering manager Russ led the rest of the Hog Roast Alcester crew to the recently renovated Cotswold wedding venue where they began preparing for the mid-afternoon serving time by cooking up generous platters of pate encroute, smoked salmon, mini quiche and a selection of traditional Indian snacks which were beautifully arranged before being served to arriving guests. For the main course, the team created one of our famous hog roasts complete with crispy crackling, savoury stuffing and sweet applesauce as well as an alternative of rosemary seasoned spring lamb with inclusive side options of salads and potatoes which were served family-style on platters and bowls to tables.
We’re always ecstatic when our recipes go down well with our clients and this occasion was no exception! When the bride and groom were over the moon when the Hog Roast Alcester team presented them with the buffet of succulent meats and appetising snacks and like their hungry guests, the pair were eager to tuck in and by the end of the night there was little left to show of the show-stopping feast.
