This week, the team from Hog Roast Stratford-upon-Avon were contacted by the curator of a museum who asked them to cater for guests attending an exhibition on the evolution of technology. Since the beginning of the industrial revolution, technology’s uses and applications have sky rocketed, and nowadays the rate at which new tech is released is so fast, that you can barely have had a gadget for five minutes before it becomes obsolete, and objects that once seemed so futuristic can suddenly look ancient.
Benjamin, the museum curator, had seen a picture of our Hog Roasts and our spectacular cooking methods online, and when he read that we design all our Hog Roast Machines ourselves, then he knew he just had to hire us, as not only did the food look great, but the evolution of our machines would be a fitting story at the exhibit. We spoke with Benjamin about the menu he would like, suggesting something easy to eat without cutlery and on the move, like our Pigs in Buns, and he agreed.
Our chef from Hog Roast Stratford-upon-Avon was on site nice and early on the day of the event, in order to allow time for our tried and trusted slow cooking methods. Guests had yet to arrive as he butchered the hog and placed it on the machine for roasting, but several hours later, once the hog was golden and piping hot, the room was full of eager guests wanting to learn about the journey of technology. A queue quickly formed at our machine where our chef served Pigs in Buns onto high quality, disposable paper plates with napkins, and there was also a selection of sauces laid out on a separate serving table for guests to choose from.
As the chef served, he contributed to the magic of the exhibition, by telling customers about the history of our machines, and the evolutionary journey that they have undertaken. Benjamin was extremely thankful to the team from Hog Roast Stratford-upon-Avon for making the exhibition all the more engaging, and promised that next time, our machines would be a featured part of the exhibition.
