Recently, the Hog Roast Whichford team were hired by Gareth for his event. The catering was for a corporate event at Avon Tuning’s base in Tockington. The event was for a lunch time event for the company’s staff. As the event was corporate, the team ensured that the luxury element of the hog roast was brought through in the food and the service.
The client selected Menu One from the corporate menu selection offered by the team. This menu included a selection of traditional hog roast favourites such as the slow roasted pig which is cooked to perfection in a Hog Master machine. Alongside the classic meat, the Hog Roast Whichford team served with crispy crackling, homemade stuffing and classic apple sauce. In addition, a selection of sauces and softly floured bread rolls were served alongside the traditional selection. In addition, sausages and chips were also added to the menu at the request of the clients. Vegetarian skewers were served as an alternative option to the meat which consisted of lightly grilled vegetable and halloumi.
On the day of the service, the Hog Roast Whichford team battled the elements through the horrendous storm to deliver the service. The team had to shelter in the storage sheds at the site yet, despite the weather, they still managed to deliver a fantastic service. The buffet was to be served to sixty guests, all of which needed to be served at the same time. In addition, the lunch time service was only sort so it important that the Hog Roast Whichford team delivered all of the food to the guests at the same time so that they had time to eat their food. The service was led by the Hog Roast Whichford team’s Catering Manager, Russ, who was assisted by his son, Jay. They did a fantastic job of the food and delivered a great service. Everything ran really smoothly despite the weather and the team bounced back without a problem. The guests really enjoyed the food and the Hog Roast Whichford team received some fantastic feedback from the client and their guests.
