Hog Roast DroitwichLulu and Jacob asked Hog Roast Droitwich to cater their wedding anniversary party, which we successfully did just recently. While we have all kinds of options available, including spit-roasted birds and animals, barbecued and marinated meat and dishes for particular diets, one of our most popular requests is undoubtedly our classic pigs in buns, which is what this couple ordered for their special occasion. These moreish slices of heaven come about by us slow-roasting a pig for several hours after preparing it with care beforehand. After a short rest, we carve away, revealing moist, tender pieces of pork inside and we get piles of crackling from the outside too, both of which we cram into soft bread rolls and wraps, top with our own-recipe sage and onion stuffing and apple sauce and then serve to you and your guests. We guarantee you’ll be back for seconds!

On the day of Lulu and Jacob’s party, Hog Roast Droitwich set up our gazebo, serving table and hog roast machine in the gardens of the hotel venue. The large marquee had been erected nearby, and as long as the weather stayed mild and dry, the sixty guests would queue up outside for the buffet-style service and then make their way inside to enjoy their food.

After preparing the meat by scoring it all over, adding water and smothering it in salt, our chef set it roasting and all we had to do for the next few hours was keep an eye on it. By 4pm, all the guests had arrived and they were clearly looking forward to some of our delicious food so we got on with getting the pigs in buns ingredients ready and then the knives were out, ready to carve, and thankfully the rain had stayed away.
