A local pub owner recently hired a Cabaret singer to provide entertainment to his guests one weekend and he decided that he wanted to serve food. He thought about making some sandwiches and buying a few packs of sausage rolls, crisps, biscuits and other party foods, but soon decided that he wanted something a bit more exciting. He eventually found our website having come across one of our posts on Facebook and fell in love with the idea of having a Hog Roast for his big night. He was initially concerned about the cost, but once he contacted the team at Hog Roast Alcester, he spoke to our catering manager and was delighted to discover that we had a menu that suited him.
The arrangements were made and the cabaret night soon arrived. The owner had asked us to provide a special Hog Roast Alcester buffet that would feed his sixty or so guests, but also asked for a round of desserts to be prepared and served during the performer’s interval. We turned up hours in advance to allow plenty of time to prepare everything and get the gorgeous hog roasting. By the time guests had begun to arrive the smell of the Hog was wafting through the air and getting people excited.
We served at seven o’clock and queues quickly formed. Our chef carved the meat with a smile and a few friendly words for each of the guests. Sauces and Bread rolls were also provided on a separate serving table for the guests to help themselves to. An hour later the singer came out and begun his set, meanwhile our waiting staff were clearing away the clean plates, and our chef was preparing the desserts. Vacherins of berries and fruit, as well as the homemade chocolate Torte, were the choices for the guests. We brought them out during the interval, and as you can expect, they both went down a storm.
After a successful night of preparing top cuisine, it was time for the team at Hog Roast Alcester to clear away their rubbish and dispose of any waste off site. They left the guests to dance to their entertainer, and the owner thanked us for a wonderful night.
