Last Sunday we were called to Hannah’s house to prepare a Hog Roast Bedworth for herself and a handful of friends that had been invited around for a garden party. Hannah mentioned to us on the phone when booking that she really wanted to make the most of the last of the summer sun before her kids went back to school and everyone slipped back into their routines and decided that a garden party was the perfect event. Happy to help as always, we packed up our van and set off to Hannah’s house for the day.
Upon arrival we soon realised it would be no easy feat to traverse the rocky garden feature to the decking at the top of the lawn where we were asked to cook from. However, we had luckily brought along our Hogmaster Pro machine which is smaller and more portable than some of our larger machines but is perfect for occasions where there are only a small number of guests. Of course, all our machines are fully portable which is what makes them so brilliant however it did help to have less weight to carry up the steep garden! Once at the summit we quickly got to work scoring the meat and massaging in the salt and olive oil that creates the most delicious Hog Roast Bedworth crackling. Hannah had also asked us to prepare some ‘fussy child’ friendly food. We had reassured her on the phone that kids do love our hog roasts just as much as adults however Hannah couldn’t afford for her five year old, Mia, to kick up a fuss so we brought along a couple of our finest butcher section burgers and sausages anyway to be on the safe side as we didn’t fancy being on the wrong side of an angry five year old!
By the time we served Hannah was simply in amazement. Not only had her ‘so called fussy’ daughter Mia watched our entire cooking process, but she was first in line for a Hog Roast Bedworth roll. We went home pleased that we had converted another customer to foodie heaven…
