It was Hog Roast Tamworth chef Russ to the rescue last week, when we received a cry for help from the Restaurant Manager at Drayton Manor Hotel-he needed some high-quality local pork and he needed it asap! Tamworth is of course well-known for the quality of its pigs, and he needed to provide some great pork for his guests, but due to unforeseen circumstances, they were unable to prepare it themselves at the hotel.
He had no need to panic though, as one call to Hog Roast Tamworth was all it took to save the day! Russ wasted no time in getting his sleeves rolled up and invested the next several hours in slow-roasting some our prize pork to perfection! Having always been a hands-on sort of chap, Russ even delivered it personally to the hotel! The Restaurant Manager was blown away by the speed of our service and how efficiently we had prepared and delivered the pork right to his doorstep! Russ was happy to chat with him and answer all the questions he had about where our pork comes from and the conditions in which the pigs are reared, and after being given the full lowdown, the Restaurant Manager was confident he could hold his own if he was quizzed about it by any of his diners!
When he called us the next day, we lost count of how many times he said thank you! The meat had been wonderful and every single person who sampled it commented on its texture and depth of flavour! A night which could have been a disaster ended up being a great success! With his reputation saved and the crisis averted, the Restaurant Manager was full of praise for our quick-thinking chef. He was also very impressed with how discerning we about where we source our meat and how knowledgeable Russ was about it provenance. After having such a positive experience, he will definitely be calling upon Hog Roast Tamworth again if he needs some great pork in a hurry and he now has Russ on speed dial!
