Hog Roast Studley – Local Film Festival

The art house cinema, whose film festival finale we were asked to provide our catering services for last week, does as much for local culture as Hog Roast Studley does for local cuisine! Their annual celebration of unique, independent films always draws a substantial audience, but this year, the cinema owners have upped the ante and expanded their enterprise with the addition of a suave, film-themed bar to their premises. They thought the perfect opportunity to launch this exciting new element of their arty establishment, would be at the finale of their film festival and they wanted some authentic, locally produced food as an added incentive to lure their cultural customers to their new bar to discuss and dissect what they had just seen on the big screen.

With diners whose tastes and dietary requirements that were as eclectic as their taste in films, the organisers of the event thought it would be a huge challenge to find a catering company that were both specialists in what they do, but also flexible enough to make sure everyone in the room was happy and well-fed. But that was before they got in touch with Hog Roast Studley! Whilst perfectly prepared hog roasts are obviously our main genre when it comes to event catering, we are also able to diversify our menus and go off on any tangent you require to meet the needs of your guests. Because of this, we were able to provide a stunning selection of vegetarian options for the cinema fans, as well as gluten-free wraps and bread rolls for those who had this specific dietary requirement.

With a considerate and all-inclusive buffet awaiting them, the film fans were in their element in the new bar and loved having a sociable space in which to have animated debates about what they had just watched. The diverse array of food on offer delighted the carnivores and non-meat eaters alike and being able to stand side by side all enjoying different dishes that suited their tastes, encouraged everyone to express their opinions about the films they had seen throughout the festival, even if they differed strongly from those of the person standing next to them. This was exactly the kind of ambience the cinema owners wanted, and they thanked Hog Roast Studley for the part we played in making it happen!
